The world at seven billion; what's YOUR number?

Excerpt from BBC News dated 26 October 2011:

"The world's population is expected to hit seven billion in the next few weeks.   After growing very slowly for most of human history, the number of people on Earth has more than doubled in the last 50 years.  Where do you fit into this story of human life? "

This is a very interesting thing the BBC are running on their website.  It's a quiz of sorts whereby you input a couple of values pertaining to yourself (e.g. your date of birth, your gender, which country you're living in, etc) and - voila! - it'll tell you YOUR number in the history of human population.  That didn't sound right, did it??  Well, basically it tells you these:

- "You were the Nth person alive on Earth", and
- "You were the Nth person to have lived since history began"

Here are my results.

So, I'm officially the 3,302,368,524th person alive on Earth!  Can't believe the world's population has more than doubled since I came into being.  Not exactly the kind of information we need to know, I realise that - but for the heck of it, why not?  Go on.... give it a go.  You know you want to.  Here's the link:

Remember, there are FOUR screens in all - each requiring input.  Have fun... and please tell me your results!

Would love to know your results; do share in the "Comments" field below.

Help me splash this all over the internet
